Here are a few more photos from the duration of my trip that previously did not make it onto the blog, enjoy!

More from Mykonos

I will let the pictures do most of the talking here....

Oh my, Mykonos

Today was my definition of perfect.  We spent a relaxing day walking from beach to beach along the coast of the island, soaking up the sun and dipping our toes in the sand.  It was 70 and sunny and felt amazing to have great weather and a strong appearance from the sun.  (Don't worry Dad, I used plenty of sun screen!!)  Caitlin and I walked into town at night and made a trip to "Venice" and the Windmills before stopping at the New Port for dinner while watching the sunset.  Talk about a pinch me moment, this was a moment I will not soon forget!  We ended the night with gelato - noticing a theme here?! - before heading back to Mina's Apartments for a good night's rest.

A couple of views from the balconies at Mina's Apartments

Walk to the first beach

Unreal view from the second beach - we had the place to ourselves!

Arriving in Athens

Yesterday we arrived in Athens, and unfortunately had not planned on the fact that Easter was being celebrated nationally and practically everything was closed.  We decided to make the most of our day and walk around the parks and street of the city that were free and accessible to us tourists.  One highlight of the day was when we stopped to get drinks on the top of our hotel, that had a view of the Acropolis and the Temple of Apollo.  Today we had the luxury of sleeping in (traveling is exhasting!!) and spent the rest of the day continuing to tour the city by foot.  Even though the majority of Athens was still shut down, the Olympic Stadium was open and we were able to walk around and take some pictures.  We were able to sit outside in the sun and enjoy the gorgeous weather before making our way to the airport to catch our flight to Mykonos.  It should be a short flight - only 35 minutes!  Caitlin and I are both SO excited for Mykonos, and I can't wait to share more on the blog once we get there.

Guest Post

I am leaving today for the next two and a half weeks to travel around Europe! I am so excited for all that I am about to do, and would love to be able to share it on the blog.  Unfortunately, I am not going to bring my laptop with me so blogging seems to be out of the picture for me.  Luckily, I have an awesome older sister who agreed to write some guest posts for me while I am away.

I will try my best to send pictures, and descriptions of my activities to Katie so that she can share it on the blog.  I am unsure of my access to wifi, or good wifi for that matter, so I cannot make any promises.

Hopefully it all works out, and you can follow along as I have my dream vacation in Italy and Greece!

Bye for now....off to see the Pope!

(Yes this bottom one is Steve Martin, threw it in there as an homage to Pink Panther. Don't know what I would be more excited by, the real pope or Steve Martin pretending to be!)
