Road Trip to Ragusa

We had another day trip planned for Thursday, and drove to the town of Ragusa.  They are most famous for their focaccia and aroncini (stuffed rice balls coated and breadcrumb and fried) AKA heaven.  When we arrived, we checked into our hotel and then had a guided tour through the town for the next couple of hours.  Our first stop was to a gelato shop which is known for their wine infused flavors.  I tried the olive oil flavor and can't say anything about it except that it was both weird and delicious!  Later that night we went to a 2 Michelin star restaurant for dinner - we had a blast!  The restaurant was in the grotto, so it felt like you were in a cave, but it was all lit up and truly beautiful.  I got a mussel and scallop dish for my first course, and then followed with a black squid ink spaghetti, to only be topped by the lamp shank and pumpkin pudding second course and finally the cinnamon ice cream for dessert to round out (both literally and figuratively) the meal.
