Blarney Castle

Last night the girls and I went to the Franciscan Well Brewery.  It is a pub that makes and sells their own beer! I tried the Blarney Blonde and was very impressed. We enjoyed our beers in their outdoor (heated!) beer garden.

Today we lucked out with some of the best weather since we have been here; which was perfect because today we were off to the Blarney Castle.  We rented bikes down the street from us and made the trip, which took about 1.5 hours to get there, but along a very pretty scenic route.  Luckily though we found the quicker, more direct, route on the way home!

The Blarney Stone is so famous because the legend goes that anyone who kisses it gets the Irish Gift of Gab.  Hopefully that means these blog posts will become more eloquent!

    SO cool that you could ride your bikes there! The Blarney House is gorgeous...did you go inside?

      No unfortunately it is closed until june…after we leave :(
