2 Checks For the Bucket List

The girls and I have started to develop a bucket list for all the things we want to do while here in Cork. We are compiling things we have learned from various sources: the internet, our advisor Shane, and past kids who have studied here, and today we accomplished two of those tasks!

Task 1: Ringing the bells

There is a beautiful church just outside of the city center that allows you to climb up to the bell tower and manually ring the bells.  Caitlin and I decided that we would take advantage of the nice weather (aka it was not raining) and go find St. Anne's.

Me in action ringing the bells

The best part about this trip was that you have a beautiful view of the city of Cork from the top of the tower.  However, in order to get there you have to climb the stairs all the way to the top….definitely my workout for the day!
View from the top!

Selfie with Caitlin, myself and the city!

For Mom: A picture of the inside of the church, it is still used for mass…maybe I will try it out sometime

Task 2: Hot Chocolate at O'Conaill's

O'Conaills is infamous for its hot chocolate, and since Caitlin has not been feeling well we decided that this would be the best medicine.  A big thank you to Mrs. Spalluto for treating me, can't wait until you visit so you can try it yourself.  It definitely did not disappoint, it is hands down the best hot chocolate I have ever had!

Overall, a great day in the city!
